Resident Evil Requiem Unveils More Horror and Action Gameplay in a Low-Key Showcase

Capcom has unveiled more gameplay footage and details for Resident Evil Requiem (https://www.pushsquare.com/games/ps5/residentevilrequiem) as part of the latest Resident Evil Showcase, highlighting the differences between playing as Leon and Grace in the campaign. Check out the entire show above.
While the livestream lacked major announcements, it did reveal several new mechanics in Requiem. These include:
- Leon's ability to pick up and use enemy weapons against them
- Grace's ability to collect blood from enemies for crafting
- A classic difficulty option where Grace uses ink ribbons to save the game
- Leon's hatchet, a melee weapon that needs to be repaired by sharpening
- Zombies that mimic their former jobs and habits

The showcase also touched on the Porsche collaboration, offering Leon's car in the game, and a partnership with Hamilton Watch Company, allowing players to purchase a watch themed after either Leon or Grace. Additionally, the Deluxe Edition of Resident Evil Requiem was showcased, featuring bonus items.
With no major announcements, this was a low-key showcase focused on showcasing more gameplay. The game is set to release on February 27, 2026, and Capcom has confirmed there won't be a demo. The livestream didn't mention a demo either.
