Imagine walking through the eerie queue of Magic Kingdom's Haunted Mansion, only to discover that Madame Leota's tombstone, once shrouded in secrecy, has been revealed! This recent development has sparked curiosity and controversy among Disney enthusiasts.
The Unveiling:
Just a few days ago, the scrim and scaffolding that obscured Madame Leota's tombstone were adjusted, allowing guests to once again gaze upon Leota's face. This follows Disney's recent construction permits for the Haunted Mansion, with scaffolding and green scrim appearing shortly after.
A Facade Expansion:
The construction walls in this area are not new, but the first signs of major work began last summer when markers appeared in the graveyard. The project is reportedly an expansion of the facade next to the graveyard, adding a new layer of mystery to the iconic attraction.
Scaffolding and Scrim:
Scaffolding has expanded along the front of the building, now wrapping around the exit queue. Before the scaffolding went up, plants were removed from the mansion's lawn. While the scaffolding is currently covered in green scrim, it's expected to be replaced with themed scrim resembling the facade, adding to the overall aesthetic.
Construction Continues:
