Los Angeles Surf Report: Massive Swell Hits the Coast (2026)

Los Angeles' waves were off the charts this week, and I was there to capture the thrill! Witnessing nature's raw power is an awe-inspiring experience, and this swell was no exception. As a photographer and videographer, I aimed to showcase the sheer magnitude of these waves, but it wasn't an easy task.

Arriving at dawn, I immediately knew this swell was the real deal. Through my Canon 20-800mm lens, I captured the action from a safe distance of a mile away. The morning mist and the spray from the towering waves added an extra layer of challenge to my filming. Imagine the sight of double-overhead sets rolling in, a sight that will make any surfer's heart race!

But here's where it gets interesting: despite the hype, the surf was at its peak early in the morning. Was this a secret spot, or just a lucky break? The debate rages on. You can catch more of my adventures on my YouTube channel, where I share my unique perspective on these thrilling moments.
